Teacher Training Program - Microsoft Office 365

As a part of  Nenasa smart school project, ambassador teachers had organized a training program for a group of teachers this week. The training sessions were conducted during the off periods of teachers. Therefore the training was conducted at different time periods. During this training session, we specially discussed about the benefits that we get with Microsoft 365 account.

 Also we mentioned about the importance of the E-mail ID that we get with school domain. This session covered the office online product such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Onedrive and Sway. We have trained the teachers so that  they can work by sharing documents on cloud platform. Also we trained in depth in Sway training. The sway tool was a interesting tool they found in this office 365. Teachers think that it is one of easy tool to create the contents for their subjects. Teachers had pointed out a difficulty in typing with custom font. We think that office 365 does not have option to install custom font to type in native language. To get rid of this issue, we trained teachers to use Google input tools and unicode. Also we guide them, how they can type in their mobile phone in Singlish or Tanglish. Voice typing was also shown during the training session.

Creating contents using online tools

To have a good smart classroom, we should have good collection of digital contents. It is possible to collect contents from different sources. But some time we won't be able to find the right content for particular subject. In that case we have to create our own contents.

It was little difficult sometime back. but now with the latest development of cloud platform we can easily create our own contents using online content creation tools.

During our smart school ambassador training program we have learnt about those tools. It seems very easy to create animation for different subjects. It is very amazing. We learnt about Powtoon, Icecream App and Animaker.

After the training session I created a content using Powtoon for grade 6 mathematics. Hope students will enjoy it.

Nenasa Smart School திட்டத்தில் உள்வாங்கப்பட்ட எமது கல்லூரி

Nenasa  Smart  School செயற்திட்டமானது கல்வி அமைச்சு, Headstart நிறுவனம், Dialog நிறுவனம், Microsoft  Sri Lanka மற்றும் Commercial  வங்கி என்பன இணைந்து செயற்படுத்தும் திட்டமாகும். இத்திட்டமானது மாணவர்களை டிஜிட்டல் மயமாக்கத்தின் உதவியின் மூலம் தமது கல்வியினை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்லவும் மற்றும் வலுவூட்டும் நோக்கத்துடனும் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

 இதில் எமது சுலைமானியா கல்லூரி தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டிருப்பது எமது பாடசாலைக்கு கிடைத்த ஒரு மிகப்பெரிய வரமாகும். இதற்கு  கேகாலை மாவட்டத்தில்  இருந்து 26 பாடசாலைகள் மாத்திரமே தெரிவு செய்யப்ட்டிருந்தன. இதில் 3 பாடசாலைகள் தமிழ் மொழிமூலமானவை. எனவே இந்த செயற்திட்டத்தின் மூலம் எமது கல்லூரி பல பயன்களை பெறவிருக்கின்றது. இதற்காக எமது பாடசாலையில் இருந்து மூன்று ஆசிரியர்கள் Ambassador Teacher ஆக தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்கள். இவர்கள் ஏனைய ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு பயிற்சியளிப்பரகள். இதன் பயனாக அனைத்து ஆசிரியர்களும் இதன் பயனைப் பெற்று மாணவர்களும் பயன்பெற வழியமைப்பார்கள்.

எனவே இத்திட்டத்தில் எமது பாடசாலையை உள்வாங்கிமைக்கு மேற்படி நிறுவனங்களுக்கு நாம் நன்றிகளை தெரிவித்து கொள்கிறோம்.

Sulaimaniya College - E-Learning Circle

The first meeting of the E-learning circle was held on 5th of July 2019 at the school. Nine members of E-learning circle were present for the meeting. Ambassador teachers explained the Nenasa smart school program and education transformation plan. They discussed the future plans and challenges. Training session for teachers were planned and teachers were grouped for these session. Tasks given to our school to achieve the objective of the smart school program were discussed in the meeting. Nenasa smart school project is a privilege to our school and it is an advantage to expand our current smart classroom system.
