CamScanner - An essential tool for teachers

CamScanner is an easy-to-use, mobile scanning application for your mobile device that allows you to take a picture of a document and create a PDF and add annotations, among other features.

You can use CamScanner to:

  • Take a photo of written homework assignments
  • Scan a document and edit it right in the app
  • Scan a document and make annotations
  • Generate a PDF or JPG file and send it to your email, turn it in to the dropbox, or share with up to 10 other people for collaboration

Orientation on Digital Learning for Grade 6 New Admission Students

The grade 6 new admission ceremony was held on 9th January 2020 at school auditorium. The new students were warmly welcomed by their immediate seniors and school staffs. 

In the new admission ceremony, an orientation was organized for the students to introduce our smart classroom program and the digital learning concept. Ambassador teacher of our smart school program has explained about 21st century learning skills and digital transformation to education. It was a very interesting session for students. 

With these new students, our school going to have another three smart classrooms. We have already 6 smart classrooms for grade 7 and grade 8.

Global Education Exchange Conference and Representation from Sulaimaniya College

Ameer Mohamed Rajah, teacher of Sulaimaniya College has been selected as one of the representative from Sri Lanka to attend Microsoft Education Exchange Conference #E2 in Sydney, Australia, March 23rd to 26th 2020.

The event will bring hundreds of global educators, leaders and media to Sydney, providing a great platform to elevate Microsoft Education and place a spotlight on the educators making amazing things possible in classrooms around the world. 

E2 is the event for Microsoft Innovative Educators and leaders, bringing together over 500 representatives from over 70 countries for an immersive and hands on experience in partnership with Microsoft. Microsoft recognize the great achievements of educators in the industry and support the global sharing of innovations among leaders and ministers as they tackle challenges around system transformation, workforce development and economic prosperity fueled by education.

Each year, E² offers unparalleled opportunities for educators to collaborate, create, and share their experiences. Attendees can gain new perspectives on how to integrate technology and pedagogy to advance learning, how to boost student outcomes and transform education. Excitement builds throughout the week — engaging keynotes, impactful professional learning workshops, fun group challenges and enthusiastic conversations build both relationships and momentum. The week ends with an Awards Ceremony where educators are recognized for their innovative and transformative work.

Smart Sulaimaniya is in the final round of the Nenasa Smart School Competition

We are so excited to announce that Sulaimaniya College has been selected to compete in the final round of Nenasa Smart School Competition 2019. Mr. Ameer Mohamed Rajah also has qualified for the final in the Smart Ambassador Category.

The semi final was held on 19th December 2019  at Grand Ralidiya Hotel in Galigamuwa for Kegalle district schools. The final will be held on February, 2020 at Dialog Auditorium in Colombo 7.

Smart Sulaimaniya Team has to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us to achieve this goal.
