Introduced Augmented Reality in Primary School Children's Exhibition

Ambassador teachers of Sulaimaniya College introduced Augmented reality experience in Iqra primary school children's exhibition .  This modern teaching aid inspired Teachers, Students, Parents and Visitors.

Certificates Awarding for Completion of Course B in Code.org

Certificates have been awarded to the students who successfully completed the course B in code.org.
Students spent around four hours to complete the course B. It was very useful for students to understand the basic concept and computer science and coding.

Merge Cube and Augmented Reality in the Classroom

 Augmented reality and merge cube are the modern teaching and learning tools. Sulaimaniya College students have opportunities to learn using augmented reality and merge cube. Ambassador teachers introduced this modern teaching aid to students. We saw students actively learn using this modern tool.
Merge cube bring the virtual objects to classroom. We use mobile phone and Smart TV to interact with merge cube. Students love to see the virtual object in the big screen.

Friday Seminar - Creating Blog to Share, Connect and Inspire

Ambassador teachers had organized another Friday seminar on 8th November 2019. Teachers who were not busy with third term exam works had participated in the programme. We talked about the opportunities of maintaining a blog and  how a teacher can share his or her works and ideas using a blog with global community. We explained the difference between a blog and website. Blog is in the middle of website and social media. It means it is neither social nor official. So everyone can write blog post in their own style. We no need to follow any rules.

Most teachers have good collections of photos and students works of their classroom. After sometime they try delete because of memory storage issues. As a solution, they can share their collection on a blog post and it will be there forever. Teacher can use their mobile phone to put blog post.

Smart Classroom - Awareness Program for parents of grade 6 new admission students

In 2020 , we have planned to establish another 3 smart classrooms for grade 6 students. Currently there are 6 smart classrooms in the school. Next year it will be 9.

To introduce our plan to the parents of grade 6 was held on 23rd Nov 2019 in the school. Presentation was done by ambassador teacher. The event was organised by School Development Committee and School E-leaning Circle. In the awareness program, we talked about the our digital transformation plan and how we are achieving that goal. The presentation has been attached.

Parents we were happy to have a smart classroom for their students and ready to give their support to achieve our goal.

Grade 8 and 9 Students Completed Hour of Code Dance Party

Dance party is an hour of code lesson in the code.org. It is an interesting lesson to learn coding. Our students of grade 8 and grade 9 successfully completed the dance party and earn the certificate. Everyone created difference dance party project and shared with friends. Ambassador teacher Mr. A.M Rajah guided the students. Around 30 students had completed the dance party.  

Progress of students through teacher's dashboard. Teacher can monitor the student progress and guide them to finish the lesson. 

Teacher can monitor completed levels and lines of code that student used to complete the course.

Prize Giving Ceremony of Online Science Quiz Competition SciQuiz 2019

விஞ்ஞான கழகமும் ICT கழகமும் இணைந்து, பாடசாலை பழைய மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் அனுசரணையில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட SciQuiz  ஆன்லைன் வினாடி  வினாப் போட்டி மிகச்சிறப்பாக நடை பெற்று முடிந்தது. இதில் வெற்றி பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கான பரிசளிப்பு வைபவம் நவெம்பர் மாதம் 11 ம் திகதி பாடசாலை முன்றலில் நடைபெற்றது. இதில் தெகியோவிட்ட கல்வி வலய உதவிக் கல்விப் பணிப்பாளர் M.I.B.N இனாயா அவர்கள் பிரதம அதிதியாக கலந்து கொண்டு வெற்றிபெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கான கேடயங்களையும்  சான்றிதழ்களையயும் வழங்கி நிகழ்வினை சிறப்பித்தார். இங்கு உரையாற்றிய உதவிக் கல்விப் பணிப்பாளர் அவர்கள், இவ்வாறான நவீன தொழில் நுட்பத்தை பயன்படுத்தி நடக்கும் போட்டிகளின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை விளக்கினார் மேலும் இப்படியான சிறந்த போட்டி நிகழ்ச்சியொன்றை ஒழுங்குசெய்த ஏற்பாட்டார்களுக்கு பாராட்டுக்களையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டார் .

The language teacher starts a new journey with digital tools

 Mr. M.A.F Fahim, he is a Tamil language teacher in Sulaimaniya College. He has followed our teacher training and started to use digital tools in his teaching process. He started his content creations by recording presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint. He said that those were well accepted by students. So he got interested and wanted to share his contents with everyone. Therefore he has started his YouTube channel to post his contents for public view. This is very useful for O/L and A/L students who take Tamil language as a subject. We congratulate him for his great attempt.

திரு M.A.M Fahim அவர்கள் சுலைமானியா கல்லூரியில் தமிழ் மொழி ஆசிரியராக கடமையாற்றுகிறார். அவர் எங்கள் ஆசிரியர் பயிற்சியைப் பின்பற்றி, தனது கற்பித்தல் செயல்பாட்டில் டிஜிட்டல் கருவிகளைப் பயன்படுத்தத் தொடங்கினார். மைக்ரோசாப்ட் பவர்பாயிண்ட் பயன்படுத்தி விளக்கக்காட்சியைப் பதிவுசெய்து தனது உள்ளடக்க உருவாக்கங்களைத் தொடங்கினார். அவை மாணவர்களால் நன்கு ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டதாக அவர் கூறுகிறார் . எனவே ஆசிரியர் அவர்கள்  தனது உள்ளடக்கங்களை அனைவருடனும் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள விரும்பினார். இதற்காக  அவர் தனது உள்ளடக்கங்களை பொது பார்வைக்கு இட தனது YouTube சேனலைத் தொடங்கினார். தமிழ் மொழியை ஒரு பாடமாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும் O/L மற்றும் A/L மாணவர்களுக்கு இது மிகவும் பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்கும். அவரது  சிறந்த முயற்சிக்கு அவரை நாம் வாழ்த்துகிறோம்.

Access to Teacher Portal

Now our school teachers have access to teacher portal at guru.lk. Nenasa Smart School project has given this facilities to teachers. All the teachers of Sulaimaniya college can access to teacher portal with given user name and the password. User name is teacher's official email. The password can be collected from Ambassador teachers of Sulaimaniya College. The Teacher Portal provides leaning content for teachers. After login into the system, a teacher can enroll for a course and follow the lessons. After completing the lesson, teacher has to sit for small simple quiz. When a teacher finish a course, he or she will be awarded with badges and scores. The following video has been created to guide you to access the  Teacher Portal.
